Clare graduated from Hereford (University of Wales) with a B.A. (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Applied Arts in July 2008, and has moved to London where she has set up her studio.

With a fascination for intricacy and detail, Clare found that her passion is to create jewellery with a retrospective theme. Narrative has always featured in her work, and she has recently discovered a special interest in Victorian Mourning Jewellery. She is intrigued by its focus on sentiment and secrecy. Clare’s latest collection of work has been inspired by this, combined with historical references from the Tudor period.

Clare works in silver, often combining elements of old book pages and found objects. She uses authentic sources, often etching text and symbols into the surface of the silver.
